This is a nicely done shop conversion, with a few seats in the front part, in front of the bar which is on the left on entering. There's an archway on the right hand side which leads to futher seating in the back part. Five hand pumps with an interesting selection of beers. I went for an ESB from Verdant, which I thought I deserved after cycling from Wolverhampton, and one called Chain Reaction from Fixed Wheel. Both good beers in good condition, but not quite excellent - perhaps I was overcompensating for my initial "thirsty cyclist" assessment by marking them as NBSS 3.5 and 3 respectively. I'd definitely include this pub on my next visit to Ironbridge.

The Coracle is a bare board micro with an L-shaped bar counter in the left rear corner that faces a beer shelf along the front left and seating up the right-hand wall. A couple more tables are found in a small rear seating area where some pub games also reside. There’s a beer fridge behind the bar counter, and on the back bar are 11 craft keg fonts. There are also five hand pumps, four of which were in operation drawing Buxton Brewery’s Fallen Halo, Salopian’s Shropshire Gold, Brew York’s Diana Voss and Wylam’s Plum Porter. The Fallen Hero and Gold were both spot on. If in the area it’s well worth popping into Ironbridge to have a look at the famous bridge, and it would be rude not to have a beer in here whilst there.

After visiting their sister micropub in Wellington, called the Boot, this micro was equally as impressive. We spent a couple of hours in here as the beer was excellent, the staff and fellow drinkers were all friendly and chatty. Five handpumps serving 4 cask ales and one cider. As they were having a tap take over, there were 8 Sommar Brewery beers, one other guest and two ciders all on tap. See the beer board in my photos.
